Future Dunedin will support Dunedin Railways Limited to operate in the Taieri Gorge for three years to 2027 as requested by DRL management.

Smooth Hill Landfill

Future Dunedin opposes the building of a landfill at Smooth Hill and the unneccesary spending of $92.6M when a safer and cheaper option exists, and will advocate for the decision to build the landfill to be overturned.

Unite Dunedin

Future Dunedin will work to bring together all sectors of Dunedin who want a better future for Dunedin including business, education, tourism, social agencies, Mana Whenua and the community.

Future Dunedin is proud to introduce a team of capable, intelligent, and passionate Dunedin locals standing for election to the Dunedin City Council in 2025. These candidates come from across our community, united by a shared commitment to building a better future for Dunedin - one that benefits our children, grandchildren and generations to come.

We believe meaningful change and better decisions are needed to put Dunedin on the right path. Our city faces significant challenges, but also exciting opportunities that must be seized for Dunedin to thrive. It is up to the community to choose who will best lead the city through these times and make the most of the opportunities ahead.

Behind these candidates stand some of Dunedin’s most influential and successful people; advisors and supporters from business, education, tourism and those working with our most vulnerable. Our team reflects a commitment to all of Dunedin.

Above all, Future Dunedin is determined to restore open, transparent governance and return decision-making to the elected council and the community. To achieve this, we need a strong, capable council backed by your support.
