In his Dunedin Stories interview, Andrew Simms speaks plainly — this campaign isn’t about politics. It’s about doing the job, doing it right, and delivering for Dunedin.

“I’m not interested in being the Mayor of Dunedin. I’m interested in being a really good Mayor of Dunedin, and that people would put me into that box with perhaps some of the people we could name from the past that were really good mayors of Dunedin. That’s what I’m interested in being.”

A City That Deserves Bold Leadership

The 2025 Dunedin City Council election comes at a critical time for the residents of Dunedin — financially, socially, and structurally. Andrew isn’t pretending it’ll be easy. But he’s stepping forward because the city needs someone focused on the long-term, not just the next three years.
